Delete your Gosen account

In the app

1. Open Gosen and log in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Tap Delete account, then confirm.

Your account is deleted immediately.

Without the app

Email privacy@gosen.app from the email address you use for Gosen, with the subject “Delete my Gosen account”. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address, and we delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner.

What is deleted

• Your account: email address, username, password and settings.
• Your word lists, saved words, definitions, study progress and review history.
• Generated sentences, explanations, dictionary lookups, writing exercises and feedback.
• Your credit balance and credit history. Unused credits are not refunded.

What is kept

• Google Play purchase records (product, order ID, purchase token and status), with the link to your account removed. We keep them for up to 5 years after the purchase so a purchase cannot be claimed twice and refunds can still be matched.
• AI usage statistics (feature, model, token counts and cost), with the link to your account removed.
• Server logs for the limited period our hosting provider keeps them.
